Dear fellow Hanoverians:
It’s a good weekend for yard sales in Hanover! By the time the
annual Last Resort Cat Shelter yard sale finishes taking in donated
items on Friday, May 31st, the annual Yard Sale will cover the huge
lawn in front of the shelter at 1126 Broadway on Saturday and Sunday,
June 1 and 2, beginning each day at 9:00 a.m. More than 95 families
have donated literally thousands of items, including an electric bike,
Hull and McCoy pottery, clothing, kids toys and games, books, dozens
of small appliances, exquisite scarves, jewelry and purses, vintage
watches, air conditioner, Google TV, cell phones, comic books, vintage
marble sink, so much more. Joan Norris (who runs the Last Resort) asks
that you support the shelter’s effort to rescue abandoned and injured
cats and kittens (more than 12,000 since 1981) by stopping by the sale
for some items or baked goods!
