Cultural Council grant funding

Dear fellow Hanoverians:
State Representative Rhonda Nyman (D-Hanover) announced today that grants
totaling $15,200 have been awarded to the cultural councils in Hanover,
Norwell and Rockland.
The Massachusetts Cultural Council awarded these grants as part of their
mission to support the arts, sciences, and humanities, to improve the
quality of life in Massachusetts and its communities.

“These grants are very important because they support events and
activities that bring everyone in our community together,” said
Representative Nyman. “They also support jobs in the non-profit
sector”.

The awarded grants include:

Hanover Cultural Council – $4,300
Norwell Cultural Council – $4,250
Rockland Cultural Council – $6,600

The announcement was made as part of MCC’s statewide funding program
which benefitted from a $1 million increase to its state appropriation
approved by the Legislature. For more information, please contact Francis
