Blizzard of 2015

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

Hope you are home safe and sound in preparation for the storm. Our
Emergency Management folks here in Hanover are asking that people “Shelter
in Place”. The Governor and the Town Manager have both declared a State of
Emergency, there is a parking ban beginning at 8 p.m., and a travel ban
beginning at 12 midnight tonight.

Town Hall and Hanover Schools are both closed tomorrow, Tuesday, January
27th. The best way to stay on top of urgent Town storm news is to follow
the town’s Twitter page @HanoverMA and/or friend the Facebook page at
HanoverMA.

Power outages should be reported to National Grid at (800) 465-1212.
Downed power lines should be reported by calling 911. If your home is
uninhabitable due to damage and you have no place else to go, please go to
the Town Shelter at Hanover High School. The shelter will also open for
warming if you lose power and are unable to tolerate the cold. If you need
transportation to the shelter, call the Hanover Police Business line at
(781) 826-3231. Overnight sheltering will be done at a regional location.

Stay warm and stay safe. Make sure you care about each other. Check on
your elderly neighbors. It’s simply what we do here in Hanover.
