Senator Brady takes office and receives committee assignments

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

On November 10th, State Senator Michael D. Brady (D-Brockton) was sworn in
for his inaugural term in the Massachusetts State Senate representing the
2nd Plymouth & Bristol District. The district encompasses the city of
Brockton and surrounding communities, including East Bridgewater (precincts
1, 2, and 3), Easton (precincts 1 and 2), Halifax, Hanover, Hanson,
Plympton, and Whitman.

Senate President Stanley Rosenberg has named Brady to the leadership post
of Chairman of the Joint Committee on Election Laws and added to his Senate
duties a position on the Special Senate Committee on Opioid Addiction
Prevention, Treatment and Recovery Options. He was also appointed to serve
on the Joint Committees on Public Service, and Veterans and Federal
Affairs, respectively.

“It is both an honor and humbling to have the opportunity to serve as the
next Senator of the 2nd Plymouth and Bristol District continuing the
impressive legacy of the late Senator Kennedy,” said Senator Brady. “I
look forward to carrying on my work addressing the opioid addiction crisis
that has devastated too many families, and tackling the multitude of
serious issues currently before the Legislature.”

Senator Brady’s office is located in the East Wing of the State House in
Room 109-E. The telephone number is 617-722-1200 and the fax number is
617-722-1116. For more information, please contact Michael King at
