Send a card to a military service member

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

Beyond everything they do to keep us safe, military service members make
the additional sacrifice of spending long periods of time away from family
and friends. That means service members can feel disconnected from the
people and the comforts of home. Please consider sending them a card to
say thanks!

Make your cards! They don’t have to be gorgeous, just thoughtful. Military
service members are going to be SO appreciative of your work. Make all
cards non-specific. We want to make sure your card can be given to anyone
in the military. For example, start your card with, “Dear Military Service
Member,”. Write a short, positive message explaining why you’re grateful
for a military service member’s hard work and sacrifices. Decorate the
outside of your card with a patriotic theme. Think: flags, American
landmarks, eagles, fireworks, etc. Please do not use glitter, and make sure
your cards are no bigger than 5″x7″.

This campaign will begin July 5th, and end August 20th. You can drop off
your cards at Town Hall in the Park and Rec Office on the second floor. You
can also drop them off at Curry Hardware in Hanover, at 1271 Washington
Street. For more information, please contact Gabby Manupelli at
gmanupelli17@hanoverstudents.org. Gabby is a lifelong resident of Hanover,
and is going to be a senior this year at Hanover High School.
