Indian Head River trails walk

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

Please join the Hanover and Hanson Town Open Space Committees and Wildlands
Trust on Sunday afternoon, October 2 at 1:00 p.m. for a walk exploring the
trails along the Indian Head River. Participants will begin at the
historic site of Luddam’s Ford in Hanover, named after James Luddam, who,
in 1632, guided Governor Winthrop across the river to get to Weymouth. The
group will head north along the rail bed next to the river where old hobo
markings may be seen, and return via the Hanson/Pembroke side of the Indian
Head River through Wildlands Trust Tucker Preserve.

The walk is approximately 4.5 miles round trip. Park at Luddam’s Ford Park
on Elm Street in Hanover. Sturdy walking shoes and insect repellent are
advised. Maps and more information are available at
http://www.hanover-ma.gov/open-space-committee, or you may contact
hanovertrailwalkers@gmail.com.
