School Vacation Week Programs at John Curtis Library

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

School Vacation Week Programs at John Curtis Library

Wednesday, February 20, 2:30 – 4:00 p.m. Art Workshop with Pop-Up Art
School
The Pop-up Art School will present a workshop on the art of Vincent van
Gogh. The lesson, for children 8 to 12 years old, will focus on his humble
painting of a chair. Students will make a two dimensional drawing of a
chair which will then be cut so the seat and front legs of the chair “pop
out” from the background. Attendance is limited.

Thursday, February 21, 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. Sparky’s Puppets
Sparky’s Puppets will present “Stories From Snowy Lands”. Watch a snowman
come to life, see a bear go ice fishing, and visit a toymaker on a wintry
day. Sparky’s Puppets have performed throughout New England for over 30
years. They have visited the Hanover library multiple times and are always
a delight.

Please register for both programs from the Calendar section of the
library’s website, www.hanovermass.com/library. For more information, call
781-826-2972, extension 4, or email the children’s librarian at
lcampbell@ocln.org.

Both programs are funded by the Friends of the John Curtis Library.
