August Children’s Programs at John Curtis Library

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

August Children’s Programs at John Curtis Library

Song and Dance Around the Planet with Sagit Zilberman—Thursday, August 8,
3:00—4:00 p.m.
Dance to, sing along with, and experience traditional music from cultures
across the world! Berklee graduate and international performer Sagit
Zilberman performs and facilitates an interactive global music program
which introduces children to instruments such as the didgeridoo,
space-drum, recorder and saxophone in a new and exciting way, and empowers
them to use their voices and body to dance and sing in harmony with her and
others in the group.

Rolie Polie Guacamole—Tuesday, August 13, 2:00—2:45 p.m.
Rolie Polie Guacamole lays claim to being the one of the hardest working
bands in kids’ music, and that just might be true. Rolie Polie Guacamole
has developed a smart, parent-friendly musical style that dresses up
original tunes and classic covers with vibrant harmonies and deft
instrumental layers, plugging in a sizzling electric current of rhythm that
lights up lyrics humming with relevance and humor.

Playful Engineers with Jay Mankita—Wednesday, August 14, 11:00
a.m.—1:00 p.m.
In this hands-on, STEM focused workshop, participants design, build, test,
and play with Rube Goldberg “machines”, plus domino constructions,
exploding popsicle-stick snakes, and other awesome engineering
explorations. For age 5 and older.

Please register for these programs from the Calendar section of the
library’s website, www.hanovermass/library. Also check the calendar for
regular weekly programs like story times and crafts, which run through
August 23. For more information, please contact the children’s librarian
