State Primary Election is this Tuesday

Dear fellow Hanoverians:

The State Primary Election is this Tuesday! After fielding lots of
questions this past week, it is my hope that this e-blast provides the
answers you are looking for.

Are you voting? Not sure who is on the ballot? Go to:
http://atotw.com/maillist/lt.php?tid=G9g4Y5R3lcapfsT5hSDv0rPqCDeQ91Vppteb4YbMkJxoqLt7nDOYRqoN783ZLADJ
. No, the questions are not on this ballot; they will be in November. No,
we are not voting for president at this election; that will be in November,
too.

The seven days of in-person Early Voting at Hanover Town Hall have ended.

Polls are open from 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 1st at
Hanover High School, 287 Cedar Street. Park in the back by the track; the
front entrance will be locked and inaccessible. Masks are expected and
social distancing protocols will be followed. Board of Health, Facilities
cleaning staff and COVID-19 volunteers will be on hand to ensure things are
kept as clean and safe as possible. Expect to wait in line once you get
inside; thanks in advance for your patience and understanding.

Requested a ballot by mail and haven’t returned it yet? You are encouraged
to return it in person to the secure ballot drop box in front of Town Hall
ASAP. Worst case scenario, you can bring it with you on Tuesday and ask
for a “certificate of authorization to vote in person” instead. Ballots
must be returned by the close of polls on Tuesday in order to be counted.

Returned your Vote-By-Mail ballot and want to know if it has been processed
yet? Go to:
http://atotw.com/maillist/lt.php?tid=xDTs2r0WFOq+cjcdTcMKAbPqCDeQ95Vppteb4YbMkJxoqLt7nDMIRqoN783ZLADJ
to track your ballot.

Forgot to turn in your town census? You will be considered an inactive
voter and will have to show an ID that matches your address and sign an
“affirmation of current and continuous residency” in order to vote on
Tuesday (or in November).

The Town Clerk Office phones (781-826-5000, x1079) will be staffed by
“Senior Tax Work-Off” staff on Monday and Tuesday, or you can get your
additional questions answered at the polls on Tuesday. For those who will
be out of town on Tuesday during all of the polling hours, in-person
absentee voting will take place at the Town Clerk’s Office on Monday from 8
– noon only. The Town Clerk’s Office will otherwise be closed to the
public on Monday and Tuesday so that we can prepare for and run the
election.

Hope you find this helpful!
