She’s an institution. She’s an icon.
\nShe’s a trailblazer. She’s a role model. She should be
\nour “Coach of the Year”.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
For over 40 years, Judy Schneider has coached varsity field
\nhockey in the town of Hanover. She coached basketball for a few decades,
\ntoo. I had the distinct privilege of being her freshman coach for about 5
\nyears in the mid-1990’s and can tell you that she taught me all of the
\nfoundations that I have ever needed in my current career. She has molded
\ncountless lives and won hundreds and hundreds of games. Legions of
\nHanover’s women are proud to call her their Coach.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
It doesn’t get any better than Judy Schneider.
\nPlease join me in voting for her as the boston.com “Coach of the Year”.
\nCoach Schneider had been
\nnominated by Erika Stearns as a coach of the year in a Boston Globe contest. The
\nwinner will get a visit from Paul Pierce to the school. The winner will be

\ndescribing the coaches who have been nominated. Judy is on page 5, and
\nwearing a yellow sweater. I had trouble with the website, and found that I
\nneeded to click on the “click for more…” link on the right
\nhand side of Judy’s (and all the other) pages to see why she was nominated
\n(not that I questioned it…I was actually just checking out the
\ncompetition!). Votes are made and taken on page 7.<\/p>\n

She
\ndeserves OUR votes. Our town is lucky to have her in our midst.
\nPlease vote TODAY. And thanks, Judy, for all you have done and continue
