Dear fellow Hanoverians:<\/p>\n
At the Special Town Meeting that begins at 7:30 p.m. this Monday,
\nthere will be an article that would authorize the Selectmen to
\nexercise their first right of refusal to purchase some open space
\nproperty here in Hanover.<\/p>\n
The \u201cDenham Property\u201d, as it is known, consists of approximately
\n20 acres located between Hillside Drive and Homer and Winslow Streets
\non Circuit Street. Less than three weeks ago the Town of Hanover was
\npresented the opportunity to purchase this property. We have this
\nright because the property has been under a special tax rate as a tree
\nfarm for many years. It is under a Purchase and Sales agreement with a
\nlocal developer, JS Barry Development for $550,000, so if the town
\ndoes not buy it, the developer will. <\/p>\n
Come debate the merits of this open space purchase at the Special Town
\nMeeting at 7:30 p.m. on Monday!<\/p>\n
