Ace spring soccer reporter Geoff Hoffman is back on the beat and he
\nsent along the following update! (Thanks, Geoff! Who knew I had such
\nloyal reporters? Who knew I had reporters?!!)<\/p>\n
Calling all soccer fans\u2026<\/p>\n
With the sun finally reappearing for the weekend, why not come out and
\nwatch some great soccer on Hanover\u2019s terrific new venue \u2013 the
\nHarry E. Gerrish \u201cTurf\u201d Field behind the new Hanover High School.<\/p>\n
On Saturday evening May 21st at 6:00 p.m., the Hanover Boys U16 team
\ntakes on the Boys U16 team from Silver Lake. The Hanover U16\u2019s are
\nvying for the top spot in the Coastal League U16 Division and will
\nneed a win to stay in reach of 1st place Middleboro. The team features
\nfreshman and sophomore players from Hanover.<\/p>\n
Then, on Sunday morning May 22nd at 8:00 a.m., in a long anticipated
\nmatch, the Hanover Boys U19 team takes on the Hanover Boys U18 team
\nfor town bragging rights. Both the 19\u2019s and the 18\u2019s are in
\ncontention for winning their respective divisions and this game is
\nimportant to both teams. The Boys U19 team consists of current high
\nschool seniors including last year\u2019s HS captains and college
\nfreshman, some of who have gone on to play at the collegiate level.
\nThe Boys U18 team is made up of a core of high school juniors,
\nincluding next year\u2019s Hanover High School captains and some
\nsophomores. <\/p>\n
Looking for some girls\u2019 soccer to watch? On Saturday May 21st the
\nHanover Girls U14 team will play before the Boys U16 team at 4:30 p.m.
\nand they too are in contention at the top of their division.<\/p>\n
Get out and enjoy the dry weather (it WILL happen someday) along with
\nsome great soccer at the new field!<\/p>\n
