This just in! How would you like to spend this Friday night (June 3rd)
\nin the comfort of a luxury suite at Fenway Park while watching the Red
\nSox play the Oakland Athletics? Coco Crisp will be back in town as he
\nand Josh Willingham vie for an All-Star bid for the A\u2019s. Should be a
\ngreat game! Once again an anonymous donor has summoned the good
\nreaders of Around Town on the Web to an online auction of Red Sox
\ntickets. There are four seats available that are located in a luxury
\nsuite overlooking third base at Fenway. These seats include an open
\nbar and all the food you can eat. It does not get much better than
\nthat!
\n100% of the proceeds of this on-line auction will go to benefit the
\nfour scholarships that will be given to a graduating high school
\nsenior from the next four classes at Hanover High School. This is the
\nsame scholarship fund that will receive the proceeds from the
\nAuction\/Yard Sale that will take place on June 25th at HHS.
\nThe 4 seats at Fenway have face value of approximately $350 each or
\n$700 for two. The street value is probably twice that! They will be
\nsold in two groups of two tickets each to the two highest bidders. If
\nby chance you want all four tickets, your bid needs to exceed the sum
\nof the top two highest two-ticket bids.
\nFor those who are relatively new to this list, here\u2019s how it works.
\nBidding will begin at $350 for two tickets (or $700 for all 4)
\nimmediately, and will be accomplished simply by sending an e-mail to
\ncathyhb@atotw.com
\n . Once you enter a bid, you will be added to the distribution list
\nthat will keep you updated on the latest bid (as best as humanly
\npossible!). Bids will be accepted until exactly 9:00 p.m. on Thursday
\n(6\/2). If two bids for the same amount are received, the earlier bid
\nwill take precedence. So, it is to your advantage to bid your best
\nprice early. Bids \/received\/ by me after 9:00 p.m. (computer clock
\ntime) on Thursday will not be considered. So don\u2019t wait until it is
\ntoo late!<\/p>\n
