\nspring water and a coupon for 20% off at participating Walgreens.<\/p>\n
Now that summer is here, the supply of type O negative blood at the
\nAmerican Red Cross has dropped significantly. A decline in blood
\ndonations is typical during the summer as donors become busy with
\nseasonal activities and overlook donating blood. For this reason, it
\nis important to make and keep appointments to give blood this summer,
\nespecially if you are a donor with type O negative blood. While all
\nblood types are needed during the critical summer months, type O
\nnegative is always in high demand because it can be transfused to
\npatients with any blood type, especially in emergency situations. If
\nyou are a type O negative donor, you can make the difference between
\nan adequate blood supply and a summer shortage. We highly encourage
\nall type O negative blood donors who meet the eligibility requirements
\nto double the difference by becoming a double red cell donor. If
\neligible, you are able to give two donations at once. Please call
\n1-800-RED CROSS or visit www.redcrossblood.org<\/p>\n
to schedule a lifesaving blood donation appointment at the Phoenix
\nLodge for next Saturday.<\/p>\n
