So many of you have had the good fortune of being a patient of my
\nfriend Dr. Amanda Metzger at South Shore Medical Center or Crown ObGyn
\nthat I could not resist sending this information out. I love going to
\nsoccer or basketball games when Hanover plays Norwell and seeing the
\ncross-town rivalry dissolve when sitting with Amanda. She and her
\nhusband Jon have been there for all of us; now we need to be there for
\nthem. Please join me in coming to their son Nick\u2019s assistance by
\nregistering to be a part of the National Marrow Donor Program. Read
\non!<\/p>\n
Nick Metzger, friend of my son Dan, awesome 15 year old kid and son of
\nDrs. Jon and Amanda Metzger, needs a bone marrow transplant, but he
\nmust find a matching donor. He is one of the thousands of patients
\nthat search for a matching donor every day. The National Marrow Donor
\nProgram is dedicated to creating an opportunity for all patients to
\nreceive the marrow transplant they need. Could you be the one? By
\njoining the Registry at one of the donor drives, you just might \u201cBe
\nThe Match\u201d that can save a patient\u2019s or even Nick\u2019s life. All it
\ntakes is some cotton swabs to the inside of your cheek!<\/p>\n

\n\u00b7 *Friday July 22nd from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at South Shore
\nHospital, 55 Fogg Rd Weymouth \/or\/*

\n\u00b7 *Sunday August 7th from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the South Shore
\nMedical Center\u2019s Norwell office, 75 Washington Street, Norwell. *

\n*\/It only takes a moment of your time. A representative from Dana
\nFarber will be present\/** \/to answer questions and sign up all
\neligible people interested in joining the Registry.\/*

\nJoining is easy! Here\u2019s all you need to do:
\n1. Be between the ages of 18 and 61, meet the health and weight
\nrequirements and be willing to help Nick or any patient in need.
\n2. Complete a registration\/consent form with contact information and
\nbrief medical history.
\n3. Give a swab of your cheek cells so your tissue type can be added to
\nthe Registry.
