Dear fellow Hanoverians:
\nI have been impaneled in a jury down in Plymouth Superior Court all
\nweek (another story for another day!), so I apologize for the delay in
\ngetting this information to you. Thank goodness a couple of you, my
\nreaders, took the time to send me a quick e-mail so that I can pass
\nalong this unfortunate news.
\nOn Tuesday, July 19, there were four break-ins right here in Hanover.
\nThe break-ins appear to be similar to those that happened at the
\nbeginning of the summer on Main and Cedar Streets. They occurred
\nduring the morning hours and at houses that appeared to have no one at
\nhome at the time. The violations occurred on Circuit, Hanover and
\nPleasant Streets this time. As before, the intruders are kicking in
\nback doors.
\nOn the very same day, Tuesday, our neighboring Hanson Police
\nDepartment responded to a break-in with a similar pattern. A neighbor
\nnext to the housebreak recalls seeing an older model blue station
\nwagon in the victim\u2019s driveway, but did not get a license plate
\nnumber. Although this might not be connected to the break-ins in
\nHanover, it may very well be, too.
\nI cannot stress enough the importance of \u201cneighborhood
\nwatches\u201d\u2026especially and even on busy streets such as these. Do you
\nknow your neighbors\u2019 schedules? Can you keep an eye out for each
\nother? Are there unusual cars (especially but not necessarily a blue
\nstation wagon) parked on your street? Do you see people in your
\nneighbors\u2019 back yard that you don\u2019t recognize? If you notice ANY
\nsuspicious activity, do not hesitate to call 911 and let our Hanover
\nPD handle it. They can\u2019t be everywhere; so we can be their eyes and
\nears! If you have some non-urgent information, the HPD business line
