Given the fact that Hurricane Irene is headed for the eastern seaboard
\nas I write this, I thought I would send this e-mail out a little
\nsooner than originally planned. In the fourth and final installment of
\nour Hurricane Preparedness Series, Fire Chief Jeffrey Blanchard brings
\nthe following excellent news for tech-savvy residents such as all of
\nyou \u201cAround Town on the Web\u201d readers!<\/p>\n
Hanover Emergency Management Agency is now on Twitter. Our Twitter
\naccount is “HanoverEMA”. The Hanover Fire Department is on Twitter
\nalso and can be followed at “HanoverFire”. Both Twitter accounts will
\nbe used as a means of keeping residents informed during emergencies.
\nThe HEMA and the HFD will be sending out periodic test messages and
\nsafety tips during the next few weeks.<\/p>\n
Also on Twitter, the Hanover Police Department at “HanoverPolice”!<\/p>\n
