\nLong-time \u201cAround Town on the Web\u201d readers will remember the good
\nwork of Hanover resident Kerline Tofuri and the organization she
\nfounded in 2008 called Jou Nouvo. If you are a new subscriber, I
\nencourage you to go back through the ATOTW archives and read up on Jou
\nNouvo, a group that supports the educational efforts of women and
\ntheir children in Haiti. Kerline also played a pivotal role in the
\ntown of Bon-Repos after Haiti\u2019s devastating earthquake of January

\nAround Town on the Web subscribers have been so supportive of Kerline
\nand her organization to date. Let\u2019s keep it up! I am delighted to
\nupdate you on Kerline\u2019s latest fundraising efforts for Jou Nouvo
\n(JN). Her words follow:
\nI would like to let friends and all supporters of Jou Nouvo around
\ntown know about a benefit dinner that is scheduled for September 19th
\nin Waltham. Please see the attached flyer for details.
\nMy hope is that people can come and enjoy the dinner; it will also be
\na great opportunity to meet the JN supporters and update them on the
\ngood work being done in Haiti and how their contributions have made a
\ntremendous difference. Those who cannot go to the dinner, but who
\nwould like to support JN, can donate an item like a Dunkin Donuts
\nbasket, wine, or a basket for family dinner\/movie night, a small
\npainting, etc. All donated items will be available for sale at the
\ndinner to raise additional funds.
