Dear fellow Hanoverians:<\/p>\n
I regret that I have to bring you this unsettling news, but it is
\nnonetheless important to share so that we can watch out for each
\nother. On Wednesday, August 31st, there were two more daytime house
\nbreak-ins here in Hanover. As with previous occurrences earlier this
\nsummer, the break-ins occurred on a main road, Webster and Cedar
\nStreets this time, and in the morning, this time sometime between 9:00
\na.m. \u2013 11:00 a.m. One unusual difference: at one house there was a
\ndog in the back yard behind a fence, so the thieves kicked in the
\nfront door (rather than the back door as in previous breaks). Items
\nstolen were \u201cquick-hit items\u201d including electronics like a TV and
\nan Xbox, and jewelry, just as in the previous break-ins back in July
\nand late June. That brings us to a total of 10 break-ins with a
\nsimilar pattern within the past two months right here in Hanover.<\/p>\n
Once again, this information originally came to me from a good friend
\nwho had been victimized but nonetheless wanted to sound the alarm for
\nall of us. I love her indomitable spirit! With the kids going back to
\nschool next week, houses will be empty. Talk to your neighbors and let
\nthem know your schedule so that they can keep an eye on your house for
\nyou. If you notice any unusual activity, do not hesitate to call the
\nHanover Police Department at 911 in a pressing situation, or the
\nbusiness line at (781) 826-3231 for general non-urgent matters.
