The Hanover Board of Health, in conjunction with the Hanover Visiting
\nNurse Association, has scheduled their annual public flu clinics to be
\nheld at the *Hanover Council on Aging*, 665 Center Street, Hanover
\nfor:<\/p>\n
Tuesday, October 4, 2011 1:30 \u2013 3:00 p.m.<\/p>\n
Friday, October 14, 2011 9:00 \u2013 11:00 a.m.<\/p>\n
Please note:
\nBecause of budget cuts across all departments, the Massachusetts
\nDepartment of Public Health is no longer able to provide free vaccine
\nto cities and towns except to those residents who are either
\nun-insured or under-insured (meaning their health plan will not cover
\nthe cost of a flu shot).<\/p>\n
The Board of Health has purchased an adequate supply of flu vaccine to
\nmake up for the lesser amount received from the State. <\/p>\n
*** All persons will be asked to present an insurance card (most
\ninsurance plans welcome) and the insurance plan will cover the cost of
\nthe flu shot ***. No one will be turned away on the basis of insurance
\neligibility.<\/p>\n
The BOH is no longer able to provide pneumonia or tetanus vaccine
\nbecause the Department of Public Health is no longer providing free
\nvaccine AND the because of the high cost to the Board of Health to
\npurchase these vaccines in advance.<\/p>\n
Please remember to wear short sleeves.<\/p>\n
