Description:\/*\/ \/Every parent dealing with special education has
\nquestions: What is required under the law? What testing should be done
\nand within what time frame? What are my child\u2019s rights? Special
\neducation advocates from Massachusetts Advocates for Children will try
\nto answer your questions during this workshop. The presentation will
\ncover Federal and State laws related to special education. You will
\nalso learn about eligibility determination, various types of
\nevaluations, optional assessments, timelines, independent evaluations
\nand IEP development. Helpful resources will also be provided.
\n*\/Presented by:\/*\/ \/\/Massachusetts Advocates for Children\/\/, \/which is
\na private non-profit organization dedicated to being an independent
\nand effective voice for children who face significant barriers to
\nequal educational and life opportunities. MAC works to overcome these
\nbarriers by changing conditions for many children, while also helping
\none child at a time.
