Dear fellow Hanoverians:
\nFrom time to time we receive requests for publication on \u201cAround
\nTown on the Web\u201d that simply exceed our all-volunteer-staff
\ncapacity. Please know that while we appreciate your enthusiasm for so
\nmany terrific events here on the South Shore, we do have what we think
\nare reasonable limits for what will be sent on \u201cATOTW\u201d. (That and
\nwe have day jobs that need tending to!) In an effort to both support
\nad revenues for our local newspapers, as well as the limited budgets
\nof the Town of Hanover municipal government and Hanover non-profit
\norganizations, the following guidelines for \u201cAround Town on the
\nWeb\u201d have been established:
\n*What will you send \u201cAround Town on the Web\u201d?*
\nWe send information regarding:<\/p>\n
Non-profit events in Hanover
\n Events sponsored by Hanover non-profit organizations
\n The Town of Hanover\u2019s municipal government
\n Contested town elections (candidate information must be brief and
\nunbiased)
\n For-profit organizations which are providing a free community service
\nto Hanover residents occasionally. We do ask that for-profits use
\ntraditional paid-for advertising. (We still enjoy reading the
\nnewspaper, and they need the ad revenue!)
\n Individual Hanover residents in need (but not lost and found animals
\n\u2013 please send that information to the local papers)
\n Significant Hanover happenings and milestones
\n Community safety issues<\/p>\n
