Hanover resident Michael Meallo needs a marrow donor match. Mike was
\nrecently diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndrome (MDS), which is
\nsometimes referred to as “Smoldering Leukemia.\u201d Michael\u2019s doctors
\nhave told him a stem cell transplant is his best chance to survive.
\nMike is married to Jennifer and together they have 2 beautiful
\nchildren, Katharine Hannah and Max. Michael\u2019s family is also still
\nin the area – including his parents Paula and Albert and his siblings
\nGreg and Melissa. You may have seen his landscaping trucks around town
\nor know Michael as a past youth football and baseball coach.<\/p>\n
Please join Mike\u2019s family and friends in support of him and others
\nlike him. Elizabeth Naylor is a local transplant recipient who is
\ncelebrating two years of successful health by having a walk\/run next
\nSaturday, October 22nd at Hull High School. She has graciously
\nextended her walk\/run to include Michael and his supportive friends,
\nfamily and community. If you are interested in being tested to see if
\nyou match Michael or someone like him please support the run\/walk.
\nAfter the walk\/run, come to Daddy\u2019s Beach Club to register as a
\npossible marrow donor. See attached flyer for further details.<\/p>\n
