Dear fellow Hanoverians:
\nDespite the cold blustery winds and the wet fields, the Hanover
\nWoman’s Club, Jrs. 29th Annual Halloween Parade was held on Sunday,
\nOctober 30. The club would like to acknowledge and thank all those who
\nmade it possible to have a successful event.
\nThanks go out to Stop and Shop, Shaw’s, CVS, Walmart and Target for
\ntheir generous donations of candy for the treat bags. Thanks also to
\nthe Hanover schools, the John Curtis Library and the Recreation
\nDepartment for taking in registrations. Publicity thanks go out to the
\nHanover Mariner, Around Town on the Web, and the transfer station. The
\nHanover Police and Fire departments are thanked for their help in some
\nof the preliminary planning of the event. Also deserving thanks is the
\nCenter School custodian, Joe, who due to a late change of venue to the
\nCenter School, stepped up to be most helpful in setting up whatever
\nwas needed prior to and at the conclusion of the day.
\nA great big round of applause and thanks to the Hanover High School
\nBand and their director, Paul Ketchen, who led the children into the
\nschool where they continued to entertain the children and parents with
\nseveral more musical numbers and routines. Dressed for the occasion in
\nHalloween attire, they were a wonderful tribute to our town and
\nschools.
\nAnd to all the children and parents who participated in the “Parade”,
\nwe thank you for your continued support of our club activities. For
\nall in attendance who brought donations for the Hanover Emergency Food
\nPantry, thank you for your generosity.
