Dear fellow Hanoverians:
\nThe volunteers at the Hanover Food Pantry are busy sorting and
\nstocking the huge volume of donations our generous townspeople have
\ndonated over the past month. The call went out and every church,
\ngroup, organization, school and sports teams and private citizens
\nanswered that call and then some. Thank you all so much for stocking
\nour shelves and back room. We are now ready for the upcoming holidays.
\nAs an update of how we distribute food the week of Thanksgiving, the
\npantry is open Monday, November 21, for \u201cingathering\u201d (the
\ndropping off of donations) from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. We are
\ndistributing the same day from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
\nTo protect the privacy of our clients, we ask that if anyone plans to
\ndonate for Thanksgiving please only come during the ingathering time.
\nIt makes for a busy Monday, but our volunteers are the best and always
\ndo a terrific job handling the rush. We will be closed Wednesday,
\nNovember 23rd, to enable our volunteers to have time to enjoy their
\nfamilies and the holiday.
\nThe pantry could not have existed for 20 years without our excellent
\nteam of volunteers, the town churches and the Hanover Woman’s Club,
\nJuniors. We have come a long way since 1991. Pantry co-chairs Barbara
\nand Sally are thankful for everyone involved now and over the past 20
\nyears. We extend our best wishes for a safe and Happy Thanksgiving to
\nour townspeople. Enjoy!
