\nAre you or your non-profit organization thinking about submitting an
\narticle or notice to \u201cAround Town on the Web\u201d (ATOTW)? If so, I am
\ntherefore writing to let you know about one of my favorite new
\nfeatures about the new software we are using here on ATOTW.
\nBegin by writing your notice as you would usually, following the
\nsubmission guidelines found at www.atotw.com
\n . But now, instead of sending me something randomly and wondering
\nwhen the notice will go out, you can request a send date\u2026days or
\neven weeks in advance\u2026and forget about it! I can queue up your
\nnotice on my day off, and it can go out to the ATOTW distribution list
\ndays or weeks later, while we both are at work or even while Hanover
\nsleeps! This new feature is ideal for busy volunteers (and yours
\ntruly!).
\nI find that ATOTW readers tend to use ATOTW e-mails as reminders of
\nsomething they may have read in the Mariner, or seen advertised on a
\nflyer. As a result, I generally recommend that your requested \u201csend
\ndate\u201d be less than a week before your event. But, that is entirely
\nup to you. I will try and meet your requests as they come in, and as
\nalways, please try to give at least 72 hours notice before an event.
\nI look forward to continuing to help make connections and serve the
\ncommunity of Hanover. Together we make this town great!<\/p>\n
