This just in from our stalwart Commander Ray Miller at the Legion on
\nKing Street!<\/p>\n
First: Christmas was exceptional for the troops from Hanover and all
\nover the South Shore who are serving in Afghanistan as they received
\nseveral boxes of items they needed, like socks, razors and many more
\nessentials. Thanks to all who contributed.<\/p>\n
Happenings at the American Legion this month:<\/p>\n
Every Sunday at 2:00 p.m.:<\/p>\n
What: Meat Raffle (Steaks, Pork, Chicken and Lobsters)<\/p>\n
When: Every Sunday at 2:00 p.m.<\/p>\n
Where: American Legion on King Street (lower entrance)<\/p>\n
Why: Raise money to buy gifts to support the troops <\/p>\n
Who can attend: ATOTW readers are welcome<\/p>\n
Every Tuesday beginning at 7:00 p.m.:<\/p>\n
What: Cribbage Night<\/p>\n
When: Every Tuesday night from 7:00 p.m. \u2013 9:00 p.m.<\/p>\n
Where: American Legion on King Street (lower entrance)<\/p>\n
Why: Fun, as experience is not needed<\/p>\n
Who can attend: ATOTW readers are welcome<\/p>\n
Random partners are drawn at 7:20 p.m. and 10 games are played to see
\nwhich team has the most points. <\/p>\n
Once a month:<\/p>\n
What: Karaoke<\/p>\n
When: this month\u2026on the 28th of January from 7:30 p.m. – 11:45 p.m.<\/p>\n
Where: American Legion on King Street (lower entrance)<\/p>\n
Why: Fun and a cheap night out<\/p>\n
Who can attend: ATOTW readers are welcome<\/p>\n
Rumor mill: Fat City Band is coming to American Legion in early
\nFebruary (more to come on that!) For more information about the
