The Friends of<br \/>\nthe John Curtis Free Library are pleased to announce *two six-week art<br \/>\nprograms* for children to begin at the library in *February*. <\/p>\n<p>*Kreative Kids*, taught by Karen Cass (a Hanover artist and private<br \/>\neducator, www.karencass.com<br \/>\n ), will provide children ages 3 &#8211; 5 with an introduction to basic art<br \/>\ntechniques while focusing on nature and the winter season. This class<br \/>\nwill meet on Wednesdays from 11:00 a.m. \u2013 12:00 p.m. at the library<br \/>\nbeginning on February 8 through March 21 (skipping February 22 during<br \/>\nschool vacation week). <\/p>\n<p>Pam Golden, a local sculptor and art teacher (www.pamgolden.com<\/p>\n<p>) will teach children ages 6 &#8211; 8 in her *Faces and Figures Workshop*<br \/>\nto create clay animals, masks, puppets, and more. This class will meet<br \/>\non Wednesdays from 3:30 &#8211; 4:30 p.m. in the children\u2019s room at the<br \/>\nlibrary beginning February 1 and will run straight through until March<br \/>\n7th. <\/p>\n<p>Each class will support 10 children and is fully funded by the Friends<br \/>\nof the Library with participants asked to pay only a $10 supply fee.<br \/>\nRegistration is happening now in person at the children\u2019s<br \/>\ncirculation desk at the library with your $10 supply payment.<br \/>\nPreference will be given to children who have not taken this class<br \/>\nbefore.
