“Park and Rec” is a memorable camp experience that has made a
\nsignificant impact in the lives of countless Hanover residents over
\nthe past 50 years. <\/p>\n
OUR PURPOSE To provide an inexpensive, age-appropriate opportunity for
\nall youth to experience outdoor recreation, both passive and active
\nwith their peers, all while creating great memories and new friends.<\/p>\n
OUR PROGRAM The Park and Rec program consists of four sessions
\n(Session One is 1 week at $60, Sessions 2-4 are 2 weeks at $150). This
\nprogram is open to all Hanover residents K-6. Each grade travels
\ntogether to different stations every 55 minutes, these stations range
\nfrom Arts and Crafts to Floor Hockey to Tennis. Within each grade
\nlevel 14 children are assigned a counselor to guide them and provide
\nactivities throughout the day. The counselor groups are usually done
\nalphabetically and just for attendance purposes. The entire grade
\nplays together. Along with the counselors, the Parks and Recreation
\nDepartment also employs four Assistant Directors and two Directors.
\nThe Assistant Directors provide services such as first aid help,
\nweekly talent shows, tournaments and arts and crafts. The two
\ndirectors oversee all aspects of camp including field trips, pizza
\ndays, t-shirt distribution as well as the normal day to day
\noperations.<\/p>\n
OUR PROMISE To do everything possible to allow all children to have
\nthe best possible summer by creating many opportunities for children
\nto have fun all summer long.<\/p>\n

“Teen Extreme” is an exciting unique experience for middle schoolers
\nbridging the gap between organized summer activities and field trips.
\nOUR PURPOSE To provide an inexpensive, age-appropriate opportunity for
\nall middle schoolers to socialize and stay active during the summer.<\/p>\n
OUR PROGRAM The Teen Extreme is a field trip based, exploration
\nprogram that consists of seven, 1 week sessions at $120 per
\nweek\/child. This program is open to all Hanover residents in 5th \u2013
\n8th grades. Each week, children travel to two new and exciting places
\nacross Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island. During Rec
\nCenter days many activities are offered by the staff however, the
\ncampers choose whether to participate or not. New this year we are
\nadding a cooking class (5 out of 7 weeks) and sports program.<\/p>\n
OUR PROMISE To allow for fun age appropriate activities for the Middle
\nSchoolers of Hanover to enjoy and experience each week of the summer. <\/p>\n

“Kids Klub” is an introductory program to get young children and
\nfamilies interested in Park and Rec summer activities and the place
\nwhere first friends are made!<\/p>\n
OUR PURPOSE To provide an inexpensive, age-appropriate opportunity for
\npotty trained 3-6 year olds to socialize and have fun with other
\nchildren their age. Kids Klub will serve as a \u201crecruitment tool\u201d
\nfor future Park and Rec participants and hopefully life long fans of
\nour summer programs.<\/p>\n
OUR PROGRAM Kids Klub is a unique pre-k program that runs over the
\ncourse of 7 weeks. Session One is 1 week while Session Two, Three and
\nFour are 2 weeks. We offer two different options for parents. Option
\n1) Three days a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at the Rec
\nCenter; Option 2) adds Mondays and Wednesdays at the Pre-K Playground
\nat B. Everett Hall (Sylvester) Field. Both options start at <\/p>\n
