Dear fellow Hanoverians:
\nIf you have not ever met Hanover resident Joan Norris, you should. I
\nhad the good fortune to meet Joan a few years ago thanks to \u201cAround
\nTown on the Web\u201d and a mutual love for the sport of baseball. One
\nconversation led to another, and I soon found myself enraptured by her
\nobvious talents, her devotion to our town, and her love for animals,
\ntoo.
\nToday, please join me in celebrating the auspicious occasion of Joan
\nNorris\u2019 11,000th cat rescue. It is a staggering number that defies
\nmy comprehension but it somehow seems to be all in the course of a
\nday\u2019s work for Joan. Joan founded The Last Resort cat rescue shelter
\nover 30 years ago and has inspired legions of fellow rescuers, donors,
\nadopters, and cat lovers.
\n\u201cOur\u201d Joan is delightfully featured in a Patriot Ledger article

\nkindness for the kittens and cats who will appreciate them.
