The South Shore Vocational Technical High School continues to provide
\nvaluable services and great programs right here in Hanover; here\u2019s
\nthe latest!<\/p>\n
*TRANSITION PLANNING: High School to Adulthood **WORKSHOP*
\n* *
\nMarilyn Weber, presenter from the Federation for Children with Special
\nNeeds, will conduct this workshop. Federation workshops are free to
\nparents and open to the public.<\/p>\n
This workshop addresses the effective use of the IEP and the
\nMassachusetts Transition Planning Form for students who are ages 14
\n\u2013 22. Individualized, person centered planning of curriculum and
\nsupports throughout high school leads to better post high school
\noutcomes and opportunities in education, training, and\/or employment
\nfor students with disabilities. Discussion includes age of majority,
\nself determination and self advocacy, life skill development and
\npreparing students to pursue as independent an adult life as possible.<\/p>\n
