Dear fellow Hanoverians:
\nAs you may remember, the Town Census is updated every year and the
\nBoard of Registrar\u2019s Office mails census forms in January. This
\nyear, forms were mailed and due back to the Registrar\u2019s Office on
\nJanuary 18th. I was in Town Hall the other day and learned that
\nRegistrar\u2019s Office spends countless hours trying to track down
\nunreturned census forms in an effort to confirm the population of our
\ntown. They are devoted servants, but they do need and deserve our help
\nand support!
\nIf you have not returned your census, even if no changes were
\nnecessary, please update and sign your form immediately and mail it
\nin. If you no longer have your form, you may call stop by the
\nRegistrar\u2019s Office in the bottom floor of Town Hall or even just
\ncall them at (781) 826-8796. *Failure to respond to the census mailing
\nshall result in removal from the active voting list and may result in
\nremoval from the voter registration rolls.*
\nFurther, if you consider that a few moments of your time this week
\ncould save you from waiting an hour or more at the polls to clarify
\nyour residency when you try to vote for our country\u2019s president in
\nNovember, you will agree that this will be time well spent! Another
\ncrucial purpose of this information is so that the Hanover Police and
\nFire Departments will know who lives in your house in case of an
\nemergency or fire. Don\u2019t delay any longer, confirm your census
\ninformation today!
\nRemember that Town Hall is open Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from
\n8:00 a.m. \u2013 4:00 p.m., Wednesdays from 8:00 a.m. \u2013 8:00 p.m. and
\nFridays from 8:00 a.m. \u2013 noon.<\/p>\n
