\nThe Hanover Diversity Committee is proud to present \/In Our Family:
\nPortraits of All Kinds of Families\/ at the John Curtis Free Library
\nfrom Monday, April 30 through Saturday, May 26.
\n\/In Our Family: Portraits of All Kinds of Families, is a touring
\nphoto-text display created by the award-winning Family Diversity
\nProjects of Amherst, Massachusetts. In Our Family\/ celebrates the
\ndiversity of family life in 21st century America. The exhibit
\nintroduces viewers to single-parent families, families living with
\nphysical or mental challenges, immigrant families, adoptive families,
\nfoster families, divorced families, gay and lesbian-parented families,
\nstepfamilies, multiracial families, multi-generational families, and
\nmany others in the family circle. \/In Our Family\/ illustrates happy
\nand flourishing families of all types and demonstrates that every
\nfamily configuration should be appreciated and celebrated.
\n\/In Our Family travels nationwide to schools (K-12), colleges, public
\nlibraries, workplaces, places of worship, conferences, museums, and
\ncommunities nationwide. The Hanover Diversity Committee arranged for
\nthis exhibit to visit Hanover with generous funding from the Hanover
\nCultural Council. In Our Family\/ is free and open to the public during
\nregular library hours. All are welcome to join the Diversity Committee
\nfor light refreshments at the opening reception on Tuesday, May 8 from
\n6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the library.
