*The Walnut Hill Garden Club of Hanover* invites interested members of
\nthe public to a free lecture on Tuesday evening, May 1st at 7:15 p.m.,
\nat the Phoenix Masonic Lodge, on the corner of Broadwayand Washington
\nStreets. Our featured speaker is Irwin Ehrenreich, proprietor with his
\nwife Cindy of The Rose Man, a Rose Garden Design and Rose Care Service
\nlocated on Cape Cod. Mr. Ehrenreich has designed and planted rose
\ngardens throughout Cape Cod and Southeastern Massachusetts, including
\ngardens at Heritage Museums and Gardens in Sandwich and at Edaville in
\nCarver. His Barnstable rose garden, with over 600 roses, was featured
\non the New England Cable News show \u201cNew England Dream House\u201d, in
\n\u201cA Garden Lover\u2019s Cape Cod\u201d by C.L.Fornari, and in the Spring
\n2008 issue of Country Garden Magazine. The garden at his former
\nnursery in Carver was featured in the Boston Globe <\/p>\n
Ehrenreich will speak on the history of roses and demystify their
\nclassification. In his talk he will discuss how to select roses that
\nwill thrive in our environment and the micro culture of \/your \/garden,
\nincluding disease resistant and easy care varieties. He will
\nillustrate his talk with beautiful photos of roses and his own
\ngardens. If you ever think you would like to try roses in your garden
\nbut are afraid they will be too much work and trouble, you will want

\nencouragement of individual creativity, civic involvement through
