Dear fellow Hanoverians:
\nWell, it\u2019s that time of the year again! Residents are encouraged to
\nplan to attend the Special and Annual Town Meetings scheduled to be
\nheld beginning next week, Monday, May 7th. The Special Town Meeting,
\nwhich is conducted first to conclude any business related to Fiscal
\nYear 2012, will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the new Hanover High School. The
\nAnnual Town Meeting (ATM) commences at 8:00 p.m. that same evening
\nalso at HHS.
\nRegardless of whether you have been to Town Meeting for 30 straight
\nyears or are a newcomer to town and a Town Meeting rookie, suffice it
\nto say that Town Meeting remains one of the most important events in
\nthe life of our town and deserves your attendance. Decisions are made
\nthat impact our daily lives and even sometimes the lives of our
\nchildren\u2019s children. It is surely the epitome of small-town
\ndemocracy in action, and often quite entertaining, too!
\nThere are 60 Articles on this year\u2019s ATM warrant. Town Meeting
\nparticipants will decide what time to adjourn Monday night, and if
\nneeded, when to continue for a second or even sometimes a third night.
\nTown Elections will follow on Saturday, May 12th from 8:00 a.m. \u2013
