I am a graduate of the Haub School of Business at St. Joseph\u2019s
\nUniversity in Philadelphia, PA. While at St. Joseph\u2019s, I was a
\nmember of the Men\u2019s varsity crew team. After graduation, I worked in
\nthe hotel industry, and then began my career as a food broker at
\nKeyImpact Sales & Systems, Inc. in 1999. In 2007, my wife and I
\nrelocated to Hanover, MA from Philadelphia, PA to continue my work
\nwith KeyImpact as the Director of Sales and Marketing for our
\nTradeBridge Division. Soon after we moved to Hanover, my wife and I
\nstarted a family, and we are now blessed with 3 fantastic children,
\nand one on the way. Our oldest, child will start kindergarten this
\nfall in the Hanover School System.<\/p>\n
Over the past 5 years residing in Hanover, I am currently a board
\nmember and a coach for HYAA Wrestling, Tee Ball. In addition to youth
\nsports, I am currently in my second year as a member of the 2011\/2012
\nHanover High School, School Council, as a \u201cCommunity Member.\u201d <\/p>\n
My experience volunteering on the HHS school council, has allowed me
\nthe opportunity to get more involved in the school community and has
\nhelped me be more aware of the challenges and opportunities that our
\nschool district faces every year. I feel that my business acumen and
\nanalytical skills will provide me with the skill set necessary to
\nprovide valuable insight and ideas to benefit the entire School
\nCommittee. I am a believer in proactive communication and feel that my
\nideas and abilities can move the communication procedures forward with
\nthe School committee and the Hanover community. We are surrounded by
\ntalented students, committed parents, and passionate community
\nmembers, and I am confident that if the communication of the School
\nCommittee can be more efficient, then we will soon see all of these
\ntypes of people contributing to the success of our town.<\/p>\n
My wife and I wish for our children to have the best possible
\neducational and social experience while attending the Hanover Schools.
\nI am confident that if I am elected to this position, I will have the
\nbest interest of all of Hanover\u2019s students in mind when I am asked
\nto make decisions or provide insight on the future activity of the
\nSchool Committee.<\/p>\n
\/Q) What are the major issues confronting the town which involve your
\noffice? Please express your opinion on these issues and how you
\npropose to deal with them?\/A) I am aware that the town of Hanover and
\nour school district are facing many challenges as it pertains to our
\nfiscal budget. Financial hurdles and budget restrictions are something
\nthat we have to face collectively as a community. I have had to face
\nsimilar scenarios in the business world over the past several years
\ndue to a poor US economy. I hold professional communication to the
\nhighest regard, and if elected, I fully intend on open communication
\nwith my peers on the committee as well as the Hanover community to
\ncollaborate with ideas to aggressively identify any and all potential
\nsolutions. I also believe that the members of the School Committee
\nshould actively seek out potential sources of revenue within the
\ncurrent structure of the School District to help offset budget
\nrestraints.
\n\/Q) Why are you running for this office?\/A) I believe that the best
\nway for an individual to contribute to his or her community, business,
\nor family, is to actively participate. I am certain that I can
\ncontribute my skills, experiences, and passion now, with the goals of
\nlong term success of the school district in the future. Like any
\nprofessional organization, one way in which success is measured is by
\nsustainability. I will be committed to the Hanover community and
\nHanover school district for many years to come. <\/p>\n
