Dear fellow Hanoverians:
\nThere is a grass-roots effort afoot in town to bring together
\nHanover\u2019s veterans – so that we may all listen and learn from the
\nmen and women who have served in the service during our country\u2019s
\nwars and conflicts. \u201cAround Town on the Web\u201d is delighted to
\nsupport these efforts; read on!
\nThe large meeting room at the John Curtis Library is reserved from
\n1:00 p.m. – 4:45 p.m. on Nov 3rd, 2012. We are hoping that veterans of
\nWorld War II, the Korean War, Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan and any of
\nthe conflicts will be represented that afternoon at the library. If
\nyou or someone you know would like to be a part of the afternoon,
\nplease contact Dave Setterland at davidsetterland@gmail.com<\/p>\n
or simply reply directly to this ATOTW e-mail. The format will be
\nrelaxed and open; no need to sign up, though!
\nWe hope to keep the program as an informal talk or round table where
\nmen and women will sit back and feel comfortable while sharing any and
\nall of their experiences from during these times. The event is open to
\nthe public and all who are interested are invited to attend.
\nThere will be roughly 15 paintings on exhibition that day from WWI and
\nWWII. There will also be some paintings that depict the importance the
\nAmerican railroad played in helping America to be the super power that
\nit took to keep world peace.
