\nThe South Shore Recycling Cooperative member Town of Hanover will host
\na hazardous waste collection this fall. Hanover residents may attend
\nat no charge.
\nThe collection is scheduled from *9:00 a.m. \u2013 1:00 p.m.* as follows:<\/p>\n
*Saturday, 10\/27 Hanover* Transfer Station, 118 Rockland Street,
\n(Route 139).
\n* *
\n*Bring*: Oil based paint, stains, solvents, gasoline, automotive
\nfluids, pesticides, photography and pool chemicals, acids, bases, and
\npoisons in secure, labeled containers.
\n*Do not bring:* industrial, pathological and medical waste,
\nradioactive materials, pressurized gas cylinders or explosives.
\n* *
\nLatexpaint and driveway sealer are *messy, but not hazardous*. If not
\nrecyclable as described below, absorb liquid with cat litter and
\ndispose in trash.<\/p>\n
*Usable leftover latex paint* will be accepted and recycled into new
\npaint products at The Paint Exchange LLC of North Scituate, MA. To see
\nif your paint qualifies for recycling, and for hours of operation, go

Residents who turn in a* toxic mercury* thermometer, thermostat or
\nother mercury item may swap it for a digital thermometer. Sponsored by
