Dear fellow Hanoverians:
\nAs you surely know by now, Election Day is this Tuesday, November 6th.
\nPolls in Hanover are open from 6:00 a.m. \u2013 8:00 p.m. at Hanover High
\nSchool, 287 Cedar Street. It is one of our most important civic duties
\nto vote \u2013 see you there!
\nA sample state ballot may be found here:

\n . This is not an official valid ballot, but will give you a good idea
\nof what to expect when you arrive at the polls. You are encouraged to
\nbecome familiar with the three ballot questions before Election Day as
\nthey are rather lengthy and could cause lines at the polls.
\nMassachusetts allows voters to vote by absentee ballot if they:
\n\u00b7 will be absent from town on election day, and\/or
\n\u00b7 have a physical disability that prevents your voting at the polling<\/p>\n
place, and\/or
\n\u00b7 cannot vote at the polls due to religious beliefs.
\nAlthough the deadline to apply for absentee ballots is *noon the day
\nbefore the election,* the Secretary of the Commonwealth highly
\nrecommends submitting the application as soon as practicable. The
\ncompleted ballot must be received by the local election officials
\nbefore the end of polling on Election Day. Go to

\nThe Hanover Cultural Council will be fundraising for the 2013 Hanover
\nDay celebration fireworks and expanded music offerings when you arrive
\nat the high school on Election Day. Please give them your support.
