Dear fellow Hanoverians:
\nDuring the recent storm, the Town of Hanover found significant value
\nin the use of social media. As \u201cAround Town on the Web\u201d (ATOTW)
\nreaders know, the Hanover Emergency Management Agency kept the public
\ninformed through the use of Twitter, and was able to successfully keep
\nus all updated via our smartphones, even if we were without power.
\nThe Town also started a Facebook page prior to the storm but that has
\nnot yet been mentioned here on ATOTW. Please consider \u201cfriending\u201d
\nthe town on Facebook: https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/#!\/HanoverMA
\n . In addition to the previously mentioned Hanover Emergency
\nManagement (@HanoverEMA) Twitter feed found at www.twitter.com<\/p>\n
, the town now also has a general info Twitter feed @HanoverMA .
\nCongratulations to Town Manager Troy Clarkson for making good use of
\ntechnology to keep us all connected (it\u2019s like music to this ATOTW
\nwriter\u2019s ears!). A REALLY big shout out also goes to Hanover
\nEmergency Management Agency Director and Fire Chief Jeff Blanchard for
\ntaking the time to pull together simply outstanding pre-storm
\npreparation information\u2026and helping me to help all of you! Have I
\nmentioned lately that together we make this town great?! <\/p>\n
