Dear fellow Hanoverians:
\nLeave it to Hanover residents in general and \u201cAround Town on the
\nWeb\u201d recipients in particular to find a way to step up to the plate
\nwhen folks are in need! The following e-mail comes from Hanover
\nresident Jeannie Murphy\u2026a genuinely good soul\u2026<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are organizing an area for Hanover residents to drop off
\ndonations for the people who have been affected by Hurricane Sandy. I
\nknow that there are a lot of people out there that want to help but
\ndon’t know what to do. I just can’t sit back and look at the pictures
\nof devastation and listen to the stories on the news. We will be
\nfilling a truck of all of the donations and will be driving them down
\nto Sea Bright, NJ.<\/p>\n
We are accepting donations until THIS Friday, 11\/16th. Anyone can drop
\noff the donations to our house at 164 Laurie Lane and leave them on
\nthe farmer’s porch (in case it rains).<\/p>\n
Here is a list of the needed items:<\/p>\n
Clothing – NEW
\nWinter jackets
\nSocks – kids and adults
\nWomen\u2019s\/men\u2019s\/kid\u2019s underwear
\nKids and adult fleece tops
\nThermal underwear
\nBed liners
\nWool and fleece blankets
\nBoots\/slippers
\nGloves, scarves, hats<\/p>\n
Sanitary Products
\nToilet paper
\nBaby wipes
\nWomen’s hygiene products
\nDisposable tooth brushes with toothpaste<\/p>\n
Food
\nCanned goods (beans, corn, beets, etc.)
\nDry goods\/non-perishable (boxed spaghetti, boxed pancake mix, etc.)
\nCanned soups
\nInstant coffee
\nTea bags<\/p>\n
Hard Goods
\nLaundry detergents – dry packages or liquid
\nLiquid and bar soap
\nTowels
\nShampoo\/conditioner
\nDeodorants
\nHand warmers
\nDisposable diapers
\nToys and stuffed animals – new
\nBrooms\/mops
\nSchool supplies<\/p>\n
\u2026and please do not forget hand written CARDS, NOTES…words of hope
\nand strength!<\/p>\n
