Dear fellow Hanoverians:
\nThis is just a friendly reminder from the good folks of the Hanover
\nPolice Department. Please remember to lock your car doors at all
\ntimes, and to park in an area that is well-lit. If you are doing some
\nlast-minute holiday shopping, make sure packages or other valuables in
\nyour car are out of sight. Place them in your trunk or under a seat so
\nthat they are not a temptation for passersby.
\nThe HPD is aware of at least a couple of isolated break-ins this
\nmonth, and it is always a good idea to heed their advice and take an
\nextra moment to prevent a car break from happening to you.
\nPlease also consider this e-mail a sincere shout out of thanks to my
\ngood friend Beth who was one of the unlucky ones, but whose kind
\ne-mail of concern helped prompt this reminder to all of us. Further
\nthanks to HPD Det. Jon Abban who responds to my e-mails day or night,
\nworking or off the clock. Together we make this town great!<\/p>\n
