Dear fellow Hanoverians:
\nThe good news just keeps on coming! Between the Cardinal Cushing
\nChristmas party and the well-met demand for services at the Hanover
\nFood Pantry, Hanover residents continue to simply take care of each
\nother.<\/p>\n
I was therefore delighted, (but not totally surprised given the
\nmessenger), to hear more good news from this year\u2019s Spirit of
\nHanover Award winner, Mr. Roger A. Leslie, Sr. Roger continues to
\ninspire all of us to a higher level of service, thereby continuing to
\nbe a living embodiment of the spirit in which the award is given.
\nRoger kindly informed me this week that the fundraising efforts of the
\nTri-Town Rotary Club have resulted in some outstanding contributions
\nto Hanover organizations, as follows:<\/p>\n
$3,000 to the Hanover Food Pantry
\n $2,000 to the Hanover Visiting Nurse Association, and
\n $500 to the Newtown, CT Rotary Club for assistance to the families in
\nneed after the terrible tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
\nCongratulations to the members of the Rotary Club for these
\noutstanding contributions and special thanks to Roger for helping me
\nto continue to shout good news from the rooftops of Hanover.<\/p>\n
