The good folks at the John Curtis Library will be sponsoring
\na book talk and signing at the library on Thursday morning, January 15th
\nat 10:30 a.m. featuring Xujun Eberlein.  Eberlein is the author of a book
\nof short stories entitled “Apologies Forthcoming”, which center
\naround China’s Cultural Revolution and its aftermath.  “Apologies
\nForthcoming” won the Tartt Fiction Award in 2007.  <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

I read the book a couple of months ago and found it to be powerful
\ncommentary on a difficult phase in the recent history of China.  I hope to
\nattend and meet the author in person!  This event is free and open to the
\npublic.  Refreshments will be served.<\/p>\n
