Dear fellow Hanoverians:<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

This just in from my good buddy Jeanne Quinlan and the
\nfastest growing sport in Hanover!<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The Hanover Girls Youth Lacrosse program is in desperate
\nneed of coaches. As with many other sports programs in our town, we cannot run them
\nwithout help from parents.  Fortunately, our numbers are growing every
\nyear.  We have enough players already signed up for the spring ‘09
\nseason to field two teams at each grade level.  Unfortunately, we do not
\nhave enough coaches to coach all these teams.  I know most of you
\ndidn’t play in high school and do not know the sport.  No experience
\nis necessary.  There are clinics that you can attend, and I am working on
\na “coaches clinic” here in <\/span>town to
\nhelp parents that want to help their kids.  The two women in town that
\nstarted the girls program didn’t even have girls that played the
\nsport.  They both played in high school and college and just have a love
\nfor the sport.  I on the other hand never played, but volunteered when one
\nof my children’s team didn’t have a coach.  And here I still
\nam 5 years later.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Please help if you can.  If we don’t have coaches,
\nthere will be no teams.  We would hate to put a cap on the number of girls
\nthat we can take into the program.  At these ages the opportunity should
\nbe out there for every girl to try every sport and see where their passion
\nlies.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The commitment would be one or two afternoons a week for
\npractices and games are played on Sundays.<\/p>\n
