{"id":1807,"date":"2013-02-07T23:50:10","date_gmt":"2013-02-08T03:50:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/atotw.com\/archive\/?p=1807"},"modified":"2013-02-07T23:50:10","modified_gmt":"2013-02-08T03:50:10","slug":"snow-emergency-in-hanover-and-school-events-cancelled","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/atotw.com\/archive\/?p=1807","title":{"rendered":"Snow Emergency in Hanover and school events cancelled"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dear fellow Hanoverians:<\/p>\n<p>TOWN DECLARES SNOW EMERGENCY<\/p>\n<p>Town Manager Troy Clarkson, in consultation with Fire Chief and<br \/>\nEmergency Management Director Jeffrey Blanchard, has declared a snow<br \/>\nemergency for all of Hanover starting at 8:00 a.m. on Friday, February<br \/>\n8, 2013.<br \/>\nIn accordance with this declaration, residents are asked to be aware<br \/>\nof the following:<br \/>\n\u00b7 Residents are advised to keep all parked cars and other automobiles<br \/>\noff all roads;<br \/>\n\u00b7 Information will be provided continually through the town\u2019s<br \/>\nFacebook and Twitter accounts, and will be regularly posted on the<br \/>\ntown\u2019s website;<br \/>\n\u00b7 If a shelter is opened, the Hanover High School will be used;<br \/>\n\u00b7 Residents are urged to check on neighbors who may need assistance<br \/>\nafter the snow subsides;<br \/>\n\u00b7 The possibility of downed power lines covered by snow is a real and<br \/>\npotential serious danger. Please pay particular attention to this<br \/>\nprobable hazard and exercise extreme caution when outside during and<br \/>\nafter the storm; and<br \/>\n\u00b7 All school buildings will be closed on Saturday and Sunday. All<br \/>\npublic activities planned at school locations are canceled and should<br \/>\nbe rescheduled.<br \/>\nIf you have an emergency during the storm, please dial 911.<br \/>\nTo report a downed power line, please dial 911.<br \/>\nTo report a power outage, please dial 1-800-322-3223.<br \/>\nBe safe! Your town officials will be working hard on your behalf<br \/>\nduring this event.
