As of noontime today<br \/>\n(Monday February 11, 2013) there were over 100 crews and more than 200<br \/>\nworkers from National Grid in the Town of Hanover working to restore<br \/>\npower.<br \/>\nThe Hanover Senior Center will be open today until 4:00 p.m. as a<br \/>\nwarming\/comfort station. You can get a cup of hot coffee while you<br \/>\nrecharge your mobile device.<br \/>\nSteps that you should take to expedite power restoration to your home:<br \/>\n\u00b7 Please call National Grid at 1-800-322-3223 to report your outage.<br \/>\nYou must make sure your individual outage is documented in National<br \/>\nGrid\u2019s data base.<br \/>\n\u00b7 If you have damage to the wires that connect your home to the pole<br \/>\nyou must contact a licensed electrician to make the necessary repairs<br \/>\nbefore National Grid can re-connect.<\/p>\n<p>Other steps that you can take to help out:<br \/>\n\u00b7 Shovel out a 3 foot clearance around the hydrant closest to your<br \/>\nhome.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Check on your neighbor. Help them get shoveled out.<br \/>\n\u00b7 Make sure that all doorways are free from snow. Drifted snow can<br \/>\nprevent doors from being opened in an emergency.<\/p>\n<p>Call 911 if you have an emergency, or (781) 826-3151 for the Fire<br \/>\nDepartment\u2019s business line.
