Dear fellow Hanoverians:
\nThe Hanover Cultural Council is excited to announce *Kite Day* for
\nHanover’s children. On Saturday, April 27th, B. Everett Hall Field
\nwill be available from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. to anyone interested in
\nflying a kite (pending good weather). This field is situated in the
\ncenter of town on Route 139, just next door to the Sylvester
\nElementary School and there is plenty of space for all. Don McCasland,
\nthe Program Director of the Blue Hill Observatory and an avid
\nkite-lover, will also be at the field to provide great tips on
\nkite-flying technique.<\/p>\n
In conjunction with this event, the Friends of the John Curtis Free
\nLibrary will host a *kite-making program* on Saturday, April 27th from
\n10:15 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. downstairs at the John Curtis Free Library.
\nDon McCasland will provide kite kits and show you how to construct
\nyour kite. This event is recommended to children ages 4-8 with a
\nparent and for 8 and over without a parent (the parent must otherwise
\nremain in the library). The program lasts for about an hour. These
\nactivities are free (funded by the Hanover Cultural Council and the
\nFriends of the John Curtis Free Library) and open to the public, but
\nyou must register your child to make a kite at the children’s
\ncirculation desk at the library. There are 40 spaces reserved from
\n10:15 a.m. to 11:00 am, another 40 spaces from 11:15 a.m. to 12:00
