Dear fellow Hanoverians:
\nPlease donate now to the Library Annual Book and Bake Sale hosted by
\nthe Friends of the John Curtis Free Library! Donations will be
\ngratefully accepted from April 29\u2013 May 17. (The sale will be held
\nMay 18th.)
\nThis is the biggest fundraiser for the Friends, and we rely on the
\ntown to donate any and all books, CDs, tapes, DVDs, videos, and
\npuzzles in good condition. Please do some spring cleaning now for the
\nlibrary and help fund extra programs, book acquisitions, and
\nmuseum\/cultural passes for all.
\nDo you enjoy reading the latest novels or are you a Barnes and Noble
\nregular? Do you belong to a book group? Do you have a stash of former
\nbestsellers that are just gathering dust on your shelves? The Friends
\nare also in need of some of the more popular and recent bestsellers.
\nThanks for considering these special donations that will enhance our
\nonce-a-year sale.
\nThere will be special sale pricing at the Book Sale this year; stay
\ntuned to \u201cAround Town on the Web\u201d for more details!
\nAll donations may be dropped off at the library during regular library
\nhours. The library will continue to accept donations until Friday, May
\n18 (no magazines or textbooks please). Please be advised that the
\npublic book sale room will be closed beginning April 29 (today as I
\nwrite this) so that the Friends may organize for the sale.<\/p>\n
The Friends are also looking for people who can help with the bake
\nsale at this event. If you are interested in baking, please sign the
\nlist at either the adult or the children circulation desks or contact
