Dear fellow Hanoverians:
\nThe “Friends of Hanover Parks and Recreation” is seeking enthusiastic
\nvolunteers who are passionate about our town and its parks to become
\n“Friends”.
\nThe Friends of Hanover Parks and Recreation is a new non-profit
\norganization designed to support the town\u2019s parks and recreation
\nprograms and facilities.
\nThe Friends of Hanover Parks and Recreation is seeking volunteers for
\nupcoming projects such as Hanover Day and fundraising efforts. Town
\nMeeting recently approved the transfer of the Curtis School property
\nat Amos Gallant Field to the care and control of the Parks and
\nRecreation Committee and the committee has many great ideas for this
\nspace. There are many ideas of how to make this park and others such
\nas Forge Pond Park wonderful resources for the residents of Hanover.
\nEventually with the Friends account, the group also hopes to offer
\nscholarships for summer counselors, CIT\u2019s and students who attended
\ntheir programs. The goal with this Friends of Hanover Parks and
\nRecreation account is to help maintain facilities, programs and
\ncommunity through fundraising and the sale of Parks and Rec clothes
\nand accessories. Please note that this is a separate and distinct
\norganization, and not part of any Town of Hanover town department.
